Pedal kettledrum

In a pedal kettledrum, it is possible to change the pitch within a given pitch range via a pedal mechanism. The pedal mechanism acts on a central tensioning device arranged in the drum kettle. As a result, the skin tension and hence also the pitch are changed. The pedal mechanism is designed as an independent component and connected to the central tensioning device via a Bowden cable. The drummer can set up the pedal mechanism in front of or laterally beside the kettledrum, as desired. It is also possible to clamp the pedal mechanism to one foot of the drum stand.
