Hinge, especially for folding doors, which has an opening angle of 180 DEG and the hinge halves of which are cylindrical, with a segment portion pointing towards the parting seam of the folding doors. The hinge halves can be inserted into open-edged bores in the folding doors, specifically from the inside of the doors, so that the folding doors belonging to a door element lie closely against one another along their parting seam both with the doors closed and with the doors opened. The open and the closed position of each door element is maintained by a spring connecting the two hinge halves. The closed folding door thus forms a visually uninterrupted surface, whilst the two door leaves of the opened folding door lie closely against one another, so that they take up the least possible space. <IMAGE>
