The invention relates to a method for controlling separate networks, which consist of a plurality of parallel power generators which are driven by primary converters. The power control is subordinate to frequency control. Particularly in the case of an asymmetric load distribution in the event of a change in the load, in order to achieve rapid transient recovery with the actuating motors switching as few times as possible, the mathematical sign of a defined power deviation is checked in one system part and, in the event of different mathematical signs, those signs are corrected whose sum value is less than the sum value having the opposite mathematical sign.
