The invention provides (meth)acryloyl-containing 1,2,4-triazolidine-3,5-diones of the general formula I <IMAGE> where R is hydrogen or methyl, n is from 2 to 10, m is from 0 to 4, R<1> is the radical <IMAGE> where r and s are identically or differently from 1 to 30, and R<3> and R<4> are identically or differently hydrogen, alkyl of 1-2 carbon atoms or phenyl; the radical <IMAGE> or methyl, R<2> is for m = 0 the radical R<1> or a univalent, optionally substituted and/or heteroatom-interrupted aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, aliphatic-aromatic radical; or if m = 1 to 4 a bivalent to pentavalent, optionally substituted and/or heteroatom-interrupted aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, aliphatic-aromatic or aromatic radical; the aforementioned uni- and multivalent and polycyclic cycloaliphatic and polycyclic aromatic radicals R<2> can further be interrupted by at least one alkylene group of 1-4 carbon atoms. The novel compounds can be used in impregnants, coatings, adhesives, printing colours and printing inks and also for manufacturing shaped articles.
