PURPOSE:To improve the positioning precision and the recording density, by providing a driving source at the tip of a fan-shaped oscillating arm through a belt and providing a transducer in the position near the middle between an oscillating arm and a driving source. CONSTITUTION:A fan-shaped member 2 with a transducer 3 mounted is attached to an oscillating shaft 1 through a bearing, and a capstan 5 of a pulse motor 4 is provided in the end part of an arc region of this member 2 through a belt 6. When the radius of the fan-shaped member is denoted as nr, the transducer 3 is placed (r) away from the center of the oscillating shaft. Consequently, when a positioning error of the pulse motor 4 is denoted as epsilon, the positooning error in the position of the transducer 3 is about 1/nepsilon because of oscillation radius ratio (n). Driving energy is restrained very low because the inert moment is minimized in the end part of the arc region of the fan-shaped member. |
