PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor having high sensitivity also to a long wavelength region of He-Ne laser beams or the like, by forming on a conductive substrate a photoconductive layer made by dispersing ZnO having adsorbed P type and N type dyes into polyvinylcarbazole. CONSTITUTION:A P type dye, e.g. ''Rose Bengal '' or other acidic dyes, and an N type, e.g. ''Crystal Violet '' or other basic dyes are adsorbed each in an amount of 0.02-0.2pt.wt. per 100pts.wt. zinc oxide, and 100pts.wt. dye-adsorbed zinc oxide is dispersed into 15-30pts.wt. polyvinylcarbazole to form a photoconductive layer, and this is provided on a conductive substrate, such as aluminum foil to prepare an electrophotographic receptor, thus permitting an electrophotographic receptor having superior photosensitivity also to the long wavelength region of He-Ne laser beams, etc. to be obtained. |
