PURPOSE:To simplify the mechanism, by switching a load to drive a magnetic tape loading means and an operation mode switching means through an epicyclic gear unit by one driving source. CONSTITUTION:The first output part 18 and the second output part 19 are connected to a worm 40, which is connected directly to a driving source, through a worm wheel gear 41, a sun gear 52, an epicyclic gear 45, and an internal gear 48, and a main ring 15 and a subring 16 of a tape loading means are engaged with the first output part 18, and an operation mode switching means 14 is engaged with the second output part 19. When a cassette is set to a cassette storage part 67 and the recording and reproducing operation is performed, the load of the tape loading means applied to the first output part 18 becomes larger than the return force of the second elastic member 73 detained in a lock means 66, and the mode switching means 14 and the lock means 66 are moved in directions of arrows C and D to release a brake means. When the lock means 66 is brought into contact with a stopper part 71, the driving force is switched to the first output part 18 because the load of the first elastic member 68 acts upon the second output part 19. |
