A T-shaped die (1) for extruding synthetic resins films comprises a manifold (2) supplying molten synthetic resin through a slot-like extrusion passage (3) and through adjustable lips (4) of a slot-like discharge orifice. Inner deckles (6) for varying the edge thickness of the extruded film, are adjustable transversely along the ends of the passage (3) by support rods (5), and inner deckle rods (7) are similarly adjustable for regulating the extruded film width. The inner deckles are semi- circularly recessed at their lower ends and the inner deckle rods have a circular cross section, so that each recessed lower end of an inner deckle embraces a deckle rod with a certain space, preferably 0.1-0.3 mm, being kept therebetween. The rods (5) may be in sliding contact with the manifold (2). The apparatus prevents resin hold up and stagnation, beaded film edges, and binding contact of the deckle (6) against the rod (7). <IMAGE>
