PURPOSE:To prevent a toner from being offset in one place of a roller face, by applying such weak pressure to a pair of rollers that a copying material does not slip on a fixing roller when the jammed copying material is taken out. CONSTITUTION:When a jam occurs between a pair of rollers 2 and 7, a knob 32 is operated to be separated from a pin 33, and a lever 14 is turned at about 90 deg. counterclockwise with a shaft 13 as the center. Then, a shaft 12 of a pressure lever 9 becomes free in the vertical direction in a wider part of a hole 15 and is turned slightly counterclockwise by a large pressure spring 16 of a large spring constant. Next, the pressure lever 9 is turned clockwise with an upper face 36 of a supporting part 20 as a fulcrum by the force of a small pressure spring 17, and the roller 7 is pressed to the roller 2 with a properly weak pressure. This pressure force is so weak that the copying material does not slip on rollers and rollers are rotated according to running of the copying material when the copying material between rollers is pulled out, and an unfixed toner is squeezed by rollers and is prevented from being offset to roller faces. |
