PURPOSE:To improve deterioration of photographic property due to gaseous formalin and to enhance image guality, by adding a formalin-capturing agent to a blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer or a non-photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:A color photographic material has red-sensitive, green-sensitive, and blue-sensitive silver halide emulsion layers on a support, each emulsion layer having one of yellow, magenta, and cyan couplers. The blue-sensitive layer is situated farthest of the 3 emulsion layers from the support, and contains the magenta coupler. A formalin-capturing compound is added to the blue-sensitive layer and/or a nonphotosensitive layer situated farther than the blue-sensitive layer from the support, thus permitting deterioration of photographic characteristics to be prevented, and a color photographic material having high quality photographic characteristics to be obtained. |
