PURPOSE:To greatly reduce the working time, by forming a pair of slopes that demarcats the ridgeline which allows the relative advance among tracks of a video disk with a prescribed opening by the cutting process using a leser beam. CONSTITUTION:A parallelepiped scanning stylus start material 12 is formed with a natural diamond crystal, and the run-out face (equivalent to electraode forming face) 13 is lapped into a mirror surface. Plural materials 12 are jointd and fixed to a comb-shaped tool 14, and the laser beam is irradiated from the side of the face 13 to form a pair of slopes 16 and 17 which are demarcated by a ridgeline 15. An angle 20 and an angle 22 of inclination to a video disk face 21 are connotative angles of the slopes 16 and 17. The material 12 is pressed to a polishing disk 27 having a polishing groove 26 of a prescribed opening angle 25 with an angle 28 of inclination to carry out a lapping process. An electrode is formed by sputtering the tantalum on the face 13 with a prescribed thickness. Then a process is given to the stylus tip to ensure an application suited to a CED and VHD system each. |
