发明名称 IMPROVING METHOD FOR DAMPING OF ULTRASONIC SENSOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To enable an ultrasonic wave, having a short oscillating time, to be easily received and transmitted, by a method wherein a spacer, coated with liquefied substance, is located between a vibrator and a wedge to form a coupling, and a high damping is conducted. CONSTITUTION:A wedge 2, having a slope surface 2a tilting against a surface of an object 1 to be measured, is mounted in a given position. The wedge acts to transfer ultrasonic wave from a vibrator 6 into the object 1 to be measured, or to lead ultrasonic wave 3 from the object 1 to be measured to the vibrator 6. A spacer 5, applied with lipuefied substance 4, is then placed on the surface of the slope surface 2a of the wedge 2, and a damper 7, absorbing ultrasonic wave through the vibrator 6, is installed on the spacer 5. The liquefied substance 4 forms an acoustic coupling between the wedge 4 and the vibrator 6 and between the vibrator 6 and the damper 7. The spacer 5 applied with the liquefied substance 4 is set to an appropriate thickness, and this permits setting of a short vibrating time of ultrasonic wave received by and transmitted from the vibrator 6.
