PURPOSE:To confirm in a short time that the data has been written at a correct position of a disk, by diagnosing whether or not the data has been written up to the subsequent sectors after passing over the designated sector. CONSTITUTION:A data error detecting circuit 16 decides in the reading mode whether or not an error is contained in the data given from a desired sector based on a data check bit DCD. The result of this decision is informed to an arithmetic control part 13. When the writing mode is over, a fixed address register 17 is started through the part 13 to produce a fixed address. This fixed address is defined as the head address of a specified microprogram of a microprogram controlling mechanism in the part 13. Based on this program, the reading action is performed for the sector following the final sector in the writing mode. |
