PURPOSE:To realize the muting control suited well to the state of error of a tape, by detecting the error of the reproduced data and controlling the count value of a counter in accordance with the state of error. CONSTITUTION:When an error signal (a) arrives from an error input terminal, a high and a low level are obtained when an error exists and when no error exists respectively. An up-down counter 6 counts the error counting clocks (b) in accordance with the presence or absence of an error by combination of gates 2, 3 and 4 in an up- or down-count mode. When the contents of the counter 6 is ''0'', an inverted output (e) is obtained from an output terminal BO. Thus a flip- flop 9 is set, and at the same time the muting control signal (f) is set at a high level. When the contents of the counter 6 is ''4'', a high-level output is obtained from an output terminal QC. Then the flip-flop 9 is reset to release the muting mode. |
