PURPOSE:To manufacture easily an information recording material for laser writing by heat-treating a silver salt applied to a substrate and separating a part of silver metal to make it like a mirror. CONSTITUTION:After forming an undercoating layer 3 with an insulating material preferably like plastic on a substrate 1 made of glass plate, metallic plate, etc., mainly water soluble resin made of resin such as polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl pyrrolidone is made a solution with a silver salt such as silver nitrate, silver ammonium-complex. This solution is applied on the above mentioned substrate 1 and heat-treated to separate silver metal on the surface. This silver surface is like a mirror and forms a recording layer 2. The information recording member is thus obtained. When it is subjected to laser light on its front face, the glossy reflecting layer 21 is removed and writing is achieved here. |
