PURPOSE:To obtain an electric discharge machining device which can detect the exact time when the end point of the electrode passes through the work in reference to the servo voltage change pattern, and automatically finished the machining. CONSTITUTION:Servo voltage change pattern is detected by servo voltage detecting device 18, converter 36, and servo voltage change pattern judging circuit 38. Servo voltage change pattern under each working condition (no-load running, machining, short circuit, passing-through) are previously determined, and the exact time when the electrode passes through the work will be detected, and the machining is automatically ended. By this way, the exact time when the electrode passes through the work can automatically be detected, and this method serves to promote man-hour saving and automation of discharge machining device. |
