PURPOSE:To interconnect a spindle head and a slide bed through a spherical joint so that the plane of a table can be adjusted accurately perpendicular to the axis of a work spindle in a spindle slanting device for grinding machines such as plane grinders or the like. CONSTITUTION:A spindle head 3 ratatably supporting a spindle which mounts a grinding tool on its end is formed on its approximately central portion with a spherical concave portion and further secured fixedly to a slide member 9. A spherical spindle slanting joint 8 is fixed to the slide member 9 and connected to the concave portion 3 through a spherical joint. After the axis of the spindle is adjusted perpendicular to the plane of a table, the slide member 9 and spindle head 3 are fixed to each other with bolts.
