PURPOSE:To arbitrarily control the speed of a pulse motor used for spacing a printer or the like only with a speed table by providing a programmable timer and controlling the read output as a clock. CONSTITUTION:A programmable timer 5 is set and stored to a desired value by a microcomputer 1. A space representing the acceleration, typing, high speed skip, typing, and deceleration is stored in a speed table 2. When it is spaced at a speed of, for example, 200cps, the prescribed number M is set in the timer 5, the microcomputer 1 reads the table 2, sets it to the timer 2, counts the prescribed number in the timer 5 with clock signals, counts with the clock of a timer 4, and controls a pulse motor control circuit 3 with the output signal tsp of the timer 4. When it is switched to the speed of 100cps, MX2 is set to the timer 5, thereby switching the spacing speed. |
