PURPOSE:To increase the strength of conjoining of a tip to a main body and facilitate the positioning of the tip and the processing of the tip and the body, by fitting the semicylindrical bottom of the tip in the corresponding semicylindrical groove of the main body and effecting brazing to secure the tip on the body. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of semicylindrical grooves 5 are provided in parallel with each other on the top of a braoch body 4 made of steel. A tip 6 made of high-speed steel has its bottom 7 shaped as a semicylinder whose radius is equal to that of the corresponding groove 5. The same number of such tips 6 as the grooves 5 are prepared and brazed as the bottoms 7 are fitted in the grooves, thereby manufacturing an integrated surface broach. According to this constitution, the strength of conjoining of the tips 6 to the broach body 4 is increased and the positioning of the tips and the processing of the tips and the body 4 is facilitated. |
