The present invention consists of a blank for forming a carton comprising a bottom panel with sidewalls connected on opposite sides of the bottom panel and end wall panels on opposite sides of one of the sidewall panels with glue flaps attached to the end wall panels with a portion of the outer edge of each of the glue flaps aligned parallel to a center line extending longitudinally through the bottom and sidewall panels and with a second portion of the outer edge of each of the glue flaps extending inward at an acute angle from the parallel edge portion and also consists of the layout for the knife blade cutting of a plurality of interfitting carton blanks with edge portions of the carton blanks extending parallel to the center lines and complementary edge portions also parallel to the center lines and complementarily interfitting with the firstmentioned parallel edge portion, and with the sum of the distance from the center line to an edge portion and from the center line and an adjacent complementary edge portion being equal to the distance between center lines of adjacent carton blanks on the layout.
