PURPOSE:To prevent adverse effects from taking place due to the interruption of heating by a method wherein in a device a second heating time after a food is heated to a predetermined temperature is assessed on the base of a first heating time ranging from the initial stage of heating of a food up to the time when the temperature of the food reaches a predetermined value, the counting of the seond heating time is stopped when heating of the food is interrupted in the course of the second heating time. CONSTITUTION:In the case of the cooking apparatus in which a magnetron 2 for heating the food in a heating chamber is controlled by muCOM5 on the base of the output signal of a temperature detector 4, the muCOM5 counts the first heating time t1 required for the temperature of the food to reach a predetermined value below a saturation temperature and the time t1 is then multiplied by a constant K corresponding to the kind of cooking to thereby obtain the second heating time Kt1 required for bringing the food 3 under a proper finish condition. In this case, in the even heating is interrupted in the courese of the second heating time due to the necessity of adding a seasoning, the counting of the second heating time is stopped and when the heating is started again, the counting of the second heating time is not started until the temperature of the food reaches the above mentioned predetermined value. |
