SLIDING NOZZLE DEVICE OF VESSEL FOR MOLTEN STEEL

PURPOSE:To blow an inert gas stably in a sliding nozzle device by blowing the inert gas introduced into the groove of a gas blowing ring into a stationary nozzle through plural pieces of small holes provided radially. CONSTITUTION:A stationary plate 3' of a sliding nozzle device is fitted with a gas blowing ring 8' consisting of refractories of superior erosion resistance to its opening 4'. A groove 9 is formed to the outside circumferential wall of the ring 8' along its circumferential direction, and plural pieces of small holes 10 are pierced to the groove 9 radially from the groove 9 toward the center of the opening 4'. The inert gas introduced from the outside of the plate 3' into the groove 9 is blown into an upper stationary nozzle 1 by passing through the groove 9 then through plural pieces of the small holes 10, thereby preventing the solidification of the molten steel in the nozzle 1.
