<p>Appts. for indirect heat exchange between a hot liq. alkali metal and water to be vaporised and superheated, is described consisting of exchange loops in parallel, each including a certain number of exchange elements in parallel, entry ducts for water and exit ducts for steam produced an expansion chamber for the hot liq. alkali metal and a pump for circulating it. Specifically, the exchange loops are at different levels and are staggered alternately, the loops in the odd-numbered row being in a first and those in the even-number row being in a second position obtd. from the first position by translation in such a way that the collectors, the expansion chamber, pump and separator of each loop do not face the corresp. members of the adjacent loop. The arrangement provides reduced congestion in the location of the components of the loops, so that less complicated pipework joining the components can be used.</p> |
