PURPOSE:To make the start of car on slope easier by connecting a valve operating rod of a vacuum booster device to a brake pedal relatively movable in axial direction and holding said rod in braked condition. CONSTITUTION:The rear end of a valve operating rod 11 of a vacuum booster device 3 is connected relatively movable in axial direction via a coupling 19 to a rod 18 attached to a brake pedal 1. The coupling 19 comprises a casing 20 fixed to the rod 18, a diaphragm 23 dividing said casing 20 to a negative pressure introducing chamber 21 and an atmospheric pressure chamber 22 and a spring 24 forcing said diaphragm 23 to the chamber 22 side, and the rod 11 is inserted through the diaphragm 23 with its rear end slidably inserted to a guide hole 18a of the rod 18. The negative pressure from an intake manifold 30a is introduced to a chamber 19 via a solenoid valve 25 which is controlled by an accelerator switch 35 and a stop switch 36. |
