The twin-rail access fixture (1) is connected to a ladder (3) rigidly mounted in a manhole. The rails (4, 5) of the access fixture (1) extend parallel to the rails (7) of the ladder (3) and are displaceable along these rails (7). A supporting member (8, 9) is arranged in each case at their ends, which supporting member (8, 9) is snapped into a selected rung (13) of the ladder (3). A bracket (10, 11) is arranged in each case at the upper end of the ladder (3), into which brackets (10, 11) the two rails (4, 5) of the access fixture (1) are guided in a displaceable manner. <IMAGE>
