Rotisserie drive with hot air circulation fan - uses sliding pinion on output of motor shaft to engage either fan or rotisserie reduction gears

An asynchronous motor provides the drive and its output shaft carries the fan hub free to rotate but locked by clips against movement along the shaft. The fan blades are screwed to the hub. A sliding pinion runs on the end of the output shaft and is spring loaded so that one of its two toothed pinions engages the fan. When the rotisserie is in place its shaft forces the sliding pinion clear of the fan and engages a second pinion with input to a reduction gearbox which drives the rotisserie at the required slow speed. When the shaft is introduced into position, it pushes back an element and compresses a spring.
