PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of the above titled device and to make the detection of the remaining liquid volume easier by providing a relative high resistance conductor between and the bottom and the top of a container and connecting the said conductor to a power source via a current detecting means. CONSTITUTION:An electrically conductive liquid is contained in a liquid container 1 having a liquid volume detecting device 2 inserted to its inside through an opening at its top, said detecting device consisting mainly of a supporting frame 3 of electric insulating characteristic and a conductor 4 of relative high electric resistance. The conductor 4 is wound helically and suspended vertically from the bottom to the top of the container 1 with its one end connected to a battery 5 via a wire 6 while the other end connected to an electric current meter 7. Thus, more electric current flow through a part of the conductor 4 and the liquid when the volume of the liquid is large but less current flow as the volume of the liquid is reduced due to its flow through the most part of the conductor thereby enabling the volume of the remaining liquid through the detection of the current by the current meter 7. |
