An oral hygiene device in the form of a toothbrush comprises a treatment head (30) which is movably fastened on a handle part (10) and has bristles (32) and several outlet channels (33) for the supply of treatment material to the bristles (32) and can be moved between a first position in which the outlet channels (33) are closed in order to prevent supply of treatment material, and a second position in which the outlet channels (33) are open in order to permit treatment material to be supplied to the elements (32). The device according to the invention can be combined with an exchangeable reservoir of treatment material, e.g. a tooth cleaning agent. <IMAGE>
