The invention relates to an air outlet which consists of a hollow body (10) in the form of a half-shell, which is inserted into a ceiling aperture or wall aperture and is symmetrical relative to the axis of this ceiling aperture or wall aperture and which has a plurality of lateral orifices (12) for the outflow of air. In order to make the incoming air blown into the room by way of the air outlet individually adjustable in a simple way, without reducing the outflow cross-section of the orifices (12), inserts (14) having obliquely set air-deflecting slats (22) are provided in the orifices (12). The inserts (14) are rotatable in the orifices (12), so that the blowing-in direction determined by the air-deflecting slats (22) can be varied. <IMAGE>
