PURPOSE:To suppress the leakage of the microwave, by arranging a transfer paper feed roller close to a gap through which the transfer paper passes and using a material having a large dielectric loss to make the said feed roller. CONSTITUTION:The electric power is supplied to a microwave oscillator 7 from a DC power supply 6, and the microwave thus produced is supplied to a waveguide matter 11 containing a ladder circuit 10 via a waveguide 8 and a coaxial cable 9. A microwave electric field is formed near the aperture of the circuit 10, and both the transfer paper 15 and the toner 16 passing through the upper surface the circuit 10 are heated. The circuit 10 is surrounded a microwave shielding case 17 made of a microwave shielding material like the stainless steel, etc. in order to prevent the leakage of the microwave from the circuit 10. At the same time, transfer paper rollers 22 and 23 are provided close to a transfer paper pass-through gap 20, and the surfaces 22a and 23a of these rollers are formed with a material having a large dielectric loss. The microwave leaked out of the gap 20 is absorbed and consumed by the rollers 22 and 23. |
