PURPOSE:To improve torque ratio and efficiency of a torque converter with simple constitution, longitudinally moving a guide vane along input and output shafts. CONSTITUTION:The inlet vane edge of an impeller 1 and the outlet vane edge of a turbine 2 are formed so as to be placed parallelly to further at an equal distance from an input shaft 3 and output shaft 4. Then a guide vane 5 is connected to a case 8 through a sliding joint 9 of spline coupling or the like. This guide vane 5 is moved along the input and output shafts in a forward and backward movable state within a guide area 6, here its movement can be performed by operating a lever 10. |
