A spring clip for an upper and a lower suspension bar (6, 7) for suspending false ceilings, in which two legs (2), prestressed in the spread direction and each having two holes (4, 5) lying next to one another in the leg longitudinal direction and of somewhat larger diameter than the two suspension bars, are seated on a vertex portion (1). In a simple and material-saving design of the spring clip, the suspension bars (6, 7) are to be displaceable both singly and jointly. The vertex portion (1) is an annular segment extending over more than a semicircular arc. The legs (2) are bent outwards from the annular segment, forming kinked edges (3). When the suspension bars (6, 7) are inserted, the kinked edges (3) of the legs (2) rest on one another. <IMAGE>
