PURPOSE:To realize the development with high quality although the gap of develpment is not set strictly but increased more than conventional, by forming a toner into a thin layer with electric charging and then into a thick layer to make an electrostatic latent image visible. CONSTITUTION:The toner 3 supplied from a tank 4 is carried counterclockwise on a developing sleeve 5 by the rotating of the sleeve and the force of a magnet 6. In this case, the toner is formed into a thin layer 3a by a doctor blade 8 and charged with electricity by a proper charging means. After this, the toner layer is turned into a thick layer by an obstacle member 10. Thus the toner 3 is charged evenly with electricity over the entire thickness, and then the thick toner layer fills a gap of develpment. As a result, the development is possible with high quality although the size of the gap of development is not set strictly but increased more than conventional. |
