PURPOSE:To make information transmission and receiving possible without waiting completion of correction of the error between discs, by giving the data error correction function to every disc. CONSTITUTION:If an information error occurs on a disc D1, a report indicating that the disc D1 enters into the correction operation because of the occurrence of the error is given to a controller 4. The controller interrupts temporarily transmission and receiving of information to and from the disc D1 to wait for the completion of correction until receiving this report. The error correction function is given to the disc side independently, and therefore, the controller 4 can execute another operation to transmit and receive information to and from other discs D2-Dn. When the error correction is completed in the disc D1, the disc D1 reports the completion to the controller 4. The controller 4 restarts transmission and receiving of information to and from the disc D1 after conclusion of transmission and receiving of information to and from discs D2-Dn. |
