PURPOSE:To stably control a supply of a toner, by detecting the quantity of the toner on a nonmagnetic sleeve, and rotating a permanent magnet roll for replenishing the toner. CONSTITUTION:On the upper part of a developing magnet roll 4, a hopper 8 is installed, and to its lower part, a doctor blade 1a' is screwed and fixed. A toner store vessel 14 is installed into an insertion hole 9 of the hopper 8 so as to be freely detachable. The vessel 14 has plural holes 15 in the longitudinal direction, and is sealed up tightly by a sealing member before it is set to the development device. After removing the sealing member, the vessel is set by turning the holes 15 upward, and after setting, it is rotated so that a toner can be supplied. Under the vessel 14, a magnet roll 7 for replenishing the toner is provided, the residual uantity of the toner on a nonmagnetic sleeve 5 is detected by a member 18, the roll 7 is controlled, and the toner is supplied. |
