PURPOSE:To select and input an optional one of many commands with one key depression, by indexing a table by the code signal from an item key to read out the command when a mode flag means indicates a specific state. CONSTITUTION:A code signal BPXY is generated in an encoder ENC on the basis of item keys 6 and PF keys 4' on a key mat KM and book designating switches 8 and is sent to a CPU through a work station controller WSC. While a user program is running, the code signal from the item key 6 is recognized as data. While a control program is running, only PF keys 4' are effective. When a specific program state is set (for example, jobs are indicated and displayed selectively) even if the control program running, the code from the key 6 is effective also, and the code signal BPXY is used as a key to index a command table TBL in a file SF through a center file controller SFC, and a corresponding command is read out and is processed as a command from a terminal by the control program. |
