摘要 In the case of a dual circuit brake system of a motor vehicle at least two actuating devices (5, 6; 7, 8) of similar dimensions are arranged on each front wheel brake and at least one actuating device (9; 10) on each rear wheel brake. The brake system has a first and a second modulator (16, 15) for modulating the fluid admission from a first and a second pressure source (12, 13) only to associated actuating devices (7, 6) of different front wheel brakes (on the front wheels 2 and 1) and a third and a fourth modulator (14, 17) for modulating the fluid admission from the first and the second pressure source (12, 13) to the other actuating devices (5, 8) of the front wheel brakes and to the actuating devices (10, 9) of the diagonally opposite rear wheel brakes (on the rear wheels 4 and 3). Two locking state sensors are each capable of generating a locking signal, which is a function of the behaviour of the corresponding one front wheel (1 or 2) and is fed to a governor which, according to the type and magnitude of the locking signal(s), is capable of actuating one or more of the four modulators (14, 15, 16, 17). <IMAGE>
