PURPOSE:To obtain constant press contact force of a clutch plate, by relatively rotatably coupling a clutch plate of the above described clutch to a tubine with an elastic element, protrusively providing said elastic element radially to the outside from a hub and connecting the external end part of the element to a folded edge in the periphery of the clutch plate. CONSTITUTION:A torque converter transmits power to an output shaft 3 in such amanner that an input shaft 2 is rotated by an engine to circulate internal fluid in a pump 5, turbine 7 and stator 8. Then a clutch plate 9, interposed between an input case 4 and the turbine 7, is engaged by friction to or disengaged from the input case 4 to optionally on-off operate transmission of the power. In this case, a folded edge 11 to the side of the turbine 7 is formed in the clutch plate 9. Then an elastic element 10 connecting the clutch plate 9 to the turbine 7 is protrusively provided radially to the outside from a hub 6 to connect an external end part of the element to said folded edge 11. That is, a stopper groove 12 is formed in the folded edge 11, to which the elastic element 10 is inserted. |
