The aim of the invention was to provide a container for filter-paper inserts for coffee or tea filtering devices, in which a relatively large number of filter-paper inserts can be stored and one filter-paper insert can be removed in each case in a very simple manner as required. For this purpose, the container (6) is subdivided into two chambers (7 and 13) by a partition (12). The chamber (7) is provided for receiving the filter-paper inserts, which are pressed against the partition (12) by a pressing-on device. Arranged in the other chamber (13) is a carrier device which can be actuated from the outside and whose carriers project slightly into the chamber (7) through a slot in the partition at least over a partial region of its operating path and which, with each actuation of the carrier device, pushes one filter-paper insert partially out of the container (6). <IMAGE>
