PURPOSE:To well isolate vibration, by constituting a vibration isolator, for a column unit or beam fixed with both or one of its upper and lower ends, in such a manner that one end of a coil spring is supported to a flange fixed to a free end side of the column unit and an annular object is movably provided in the other end of the spring. CONSTITUTION:When applied to a straight bar or pipe shaped column unit 1 fixed with its upper end to a supporting part P, a vibration isolator 11 is constituted by a flange part 12, protrusively provided in the periphery of a lower end part in the column unit 1, coil spring 13, concentrically mounted with the column unit 1 on the upper surface of said flange part 12, and an annular object 14, movably fitted to the column unit 1 on the upper end of the coil spring. The annular object 14, when placed on the spring 13, slightly contracts the spring by weight of the object. When the column unit 1 is horizontally vibrated by external force, the annular object 14 causes time delay by inertia, and the column unit 1 collides against an internal face of the annular object 14. In this way, the column unit 1 is applied with force reversely to the moving direction arising from vibration, thus isolated from vibration. |
