Turntable furnace with a closed furnace space as well as supply and removal openings for the combustion material, in which the turntable (8) is rotatingly turnably let in to the bottom of the furnace space (4), an essentially continuous bottom surface being formed overall. The rotating and/or stationary part of the bottom surface (7) has openings (14, 52, 64) which lead into regions lying outside the furnace space. With the aid of scrapers or cooled worm conveyors, the combustion material can be transported to the outside or the inside. <IMAGE>
