PURPOSE:To decrease the thickness of a display element for low cost, by removing a transparent support from an adhesive reflection type polarized plate of a reflection type liquid crystal display element. CONSTITUTION:One side of a polarized film is directly stuck to a reflection plate, and another surface is directly stuck to a lower glass substrate surface of a liquid crystal display cell, allowing to achieve an adhesive reflection type polarized plate construction without using a transparent support to hold the polarized effect of the polarized film. Since no support is used, the total thickness is thin by about 100mu, the cost for support material and support material adhering process is unnecessary, thus the cost is reduced. As the reflecting plate, any one of reflective plate of directivity, nondirectivity and semitransparent nondirectivity reflecting plate can be used. |
