PURPOSE:To minimize leak of gas from a cleaning device for fine particle contained in exhaust gas, by providing an exhaust-gas-fine-particle-capturing unit member with an outside covering made of a material having a larger ventilation resistance, and also by providing an annular seal between the outside covering and a casing. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas containing fine particles goes from an intake 17 of a cleaning device into a fine-particle-capturing material 10 made of ceramic. While the gas in the fine-particle-capturing material 10 is trying to leak out from the outside circumference, since it is enclosed by the material having a larger ventilation resistance, it is not allowed to leak out from the outside circumferencial area in any case. And, although the gas at the intake 17 is trying to leak out through a gap between the fine-particle-capturing material 10 and a casing 12, as an annular elastic seal 28 is pressed into the gap, the gas is prevented from leaking out. Thus cleaned exhaust gas is then discharged from an exit 19 to outside. |
