PURPOSE:To effectively attenuate the pressure pulsation generated at a tongue part at the front stage to a pipe by mounting a 1/4 wavelength tube at an arbitrary position of a discharge passage from the tongue position of a casing for a pump or the like to the vicinity of the exit of the casing. CONSTITUTION:A 1/4 wavelength tube 5 is mounted at an arbitrary position of a discharge passage 4 from the position of the tongue part 2 of a casing 1 to the vicinity of the exit 3 of the casing 1. The lower end side of the tube 5 is buried in the ground through a pump installation foundation 13. The pressure pulsation generated by the interference between the blade outlet of a pump A and the tongue part 2 is reduced by the attenuating action by the tube 5 at the mounting position of the tube 5 in the passage 4 to the exit 3. |
