<p>PURPOSE:To increase the number of tire pieces charged into a combustion treatment chamber for scrap tires and enhance the combustion efficiency by splitting the scrap tire used for automobiles into two at around the center of the width of the tread part. CONSTITUTION:The scrap tire 14 to be cut is so positioned that the inside surface of the tread part contacts with a cutter blade 8 and a pair of rollers 10, 11. Then, an operating arm 7 is moved in the direction for approaching to a machine body 1, and the tread part of the tire 14 is clamped between the one pair of feed rollers 10, 11 and projection rows 3a, 3b of a rotating feed member 3. When the member 3 is driven to rotate, the rollers 10, 11 and the cutter blade 8 are also rotated in the same direction as the tire 14. Accordingly, the part of the tire 14 fed to such a position as to contact with the cutter blade 8 is split into two at the center of the width of the tread part.</p> |
