PURPOSE:To prevent vibration of piezoelectric ceramic from being obstructed by an adhesive agent, by sticking an acoustic matching layer before the piezoelectric ceramics are cut. CONSTITUTION:Piezoelectric ceramics 3 provided with electrodes 2, 2' are provided on a packing material 1, and an L-electrode 4 is made to adhere to the side of the electrode 2. Subsequently, an acoustic matching layer 5 is stuck. After that, the electrode 4, the layer 5 and the ceramics 3 are cut to a prescribed depth. According to this method, an adhesive agent does not enter between a cut groove of the ceramics, therefore, no efficiency for transmitting and receiving an ultrasonic wave is lowered. |
