PURPOSE:To always maintain an optimum receiving state, by providing a phase shifter and an attenuator on a receiving path of one signal to be synthesized, and controlling the phase shifter and the attenuator so that a pseudo error of a synthesized signal becomes minimum. CONSTITUTION:One of 2 receiving signals based on the same transmitting signal is applied directly to a synthesizer 15, and the other is applied to the synthesizer 15 after its phase and amplitude have been controlled through an infinite phase shifter 13 and a variable attenuator 14. This composite signal is applied to a demodulator 16, is demodulated, and a demodulated data is generated in a terminal 17. A pseudo error detector 18 detects a pseudo error of a demodulation output, and a controlling circuit 19 to which a detecting signal is applied controls the infinite phase shifter 13 and the variable attenuator 14. In case the pseudo error rate is not a constant value or below, the control operation varies the phase-shifting quantity so that the pseudo error rate becomes minimum, and furthermore, minimizes it by varying the attenuation quantity. |
