PURPOSE:To operate a titled device stably at a high speed with low electric power consumption by using a method of selecting the electric charge of photoelectric conversion parts of different areas by opening transfer gates for controlling of output signals. CONSTITUTION:Constant light is kept irradiated to photoelectric conversion parts 1-4 of area ratios varying like 1, 2, 4-2<n>. These are connected at one end to a floating junction 15 via transfer gates 5-8, and at the other end to overflow drains 13, 14 via overflow drain gates 9-12 fixed at constant potential. When a signal is put in from an input 23, the prescribed gates 5-8 are selected with a decoder 24, and the electric charge of said parts 1-4 corresponding to this is fed to the junction 15. The voltage corresponding to the charge is outputted from output transistors 19, 20. Thereby, a variable voltage generator operating stably at a high speed is obtained. |
