PURPOSE:To display the advance directions of automobiles coincident with the azimuths on a map by fitting a terrestrial magnetism sensor to be fitted on the automobile in such way that the detection axis in one direction thereof deviates in a horizontal direction by the declination of the azimuths on the map. CONSTITUTION:There are the declination theta corresponding to areas between the azimuths N'S' measured by an azimuth magnet and the azimuths NS on a map (theta=6 deg.-10 deg. in Japan). The detection axis in one direction of a terrestrial magnetism sensor 1 mounted at the place where it does not receive the influence of the magnetization of an automotive body, for example, Y-axis is deviated by the declination theta with respect to the advance direction Y' of the automobile and in this state the sensor 1 is fitted. Thereby, the display of the automobile coincident with the azimuths on the map is made possible. |
