A rotatable floor treating pad is provided by uniformly modifying a strip of conformable low-density abrasive product to provide an expandable zone on one side, a contractable zone on the other side, or both, each or a conbination of which permits formation of the strip into an annulus without buckling, forming an annulus of the strip and setting the formed annulus to cause it to maintain its shape.
